Default WAZOO Thanks

I'd like to offer my thanks to all the WAZOO guys who helped me out by working on my car just before Bowling Green. Most of the work was preventative maintenance, mixed with a few 'performance upgrades' and a couple of emergency repairs!

The work carried out included:
  • New injectors (Stainless RCs)
  • New plug wires (From Jerry)
  • New coil packs (also Jerry)
  • New PCV hoses (Kurt)
  • Stainless plenum bolts (Jerry)
  • FX3 Shock spring clip (Donated by Yun)
  • Fidanza Flywheel (through David)
  • New sprung hub clutch (also David)
  • New pressure plate, bearing (From Jim)
  • Hurst short shifter (Love it!)
  • C-Beam plates (Bill Boudreau)
  • Replaced rear disks and pads
  • Rear U-joint - twice (Jim again)
  • Drive shaft (David again)
The work was mostly carried out over two days on the weekend before BG - apart from the drive shaft which was done on Thursday. This particular operation was after a catastrophic failure on the road not long after starting out for BG and was replaced in 2 hours back at Jim's by him and Darrin (who I'm sure now is sick of the sight of the underneath of my car!)

I can't express just how much I appreciate all of the work and help from everyone who came out. The WAZOO guys are simply awesome and some of the best people I've met.

Special thanks to David for inviting me down and Jim for donating the use of his facilities (and several parts from his spares collection!) not to mention leading the wrenching activities.

Dave

Dave,

It was a great pleasure to meet you although I was too busy w/ my radio install. Any chance you will make Carlisle?

Unfortunately I won't make Carlisle, I have limited vacation days so one big vette trip a year is my limit right now. It was great meeting you too and thanks for the clip! Hope the nav system is working well and the 10 miles of wiring hasn't slowed your car down too much!

Also hearing your car was great to get an idea of how the full OBX set up sounds.

You are welcome Dave. It was great to meet you and I enjoyed traveling with you and hanging out in BG.

Friendship and assistance is what the ZR-1 Community is all about as far as I am concerned.

I agree with the Capt, the brotherhood is what it's all about. Great meeting you Dave, here's hoping you have many more untroubled miles in your Z.
