WMD - Saturday 12 May - Welcome to DaveK

On Saturday, 12 May 2012, I will be hosting a special WMD to welcome Dave Kelly from Ontario, Canada. Dave is stopping in WAZOO-land on his way to the ZR1 Gathering in Bowling Green, Ky.

While Dave is here we will replace his fuel injectors, ignition coils, plug wires, flywheel and clutch.


Saturday Schedule:

On Saturday we will do the under plenum work on Dave's ZR-1 and Yun will be installing a Pioneer in-dash navigation audio system in his 1994 ZR-1.

After the maintenance on Saturday, we will take a Back Road Cruise to McAvoys in Parkville, MD for a no-host get together to welcome DaveK to WAZOO.

Everyone is invited. Please come out to Westminster and join us for a nice ZR-1 day.

Sunday Schedule:


On Sunday, 13 May, we will be pull DaveK's transmission and replace his flywheel and clutch.

If anyone else has maintenance we can do, let me know and we will schedule it. How about an oil change before the trip to Bowling Green.

Hi Jim,

The first Carroll County Cruise was a hoot. It's killing me that I'll have to miss this week-end (youngest grandson is graduating HS in Wadsworth, OH). I would love to see the injector swap as that's on my near-term 'to-do' list. Take plenty of pics, please.

I'll be there Saturday. The plenum pull will be very informative as I have one coming up soon. Leak under plenum in the EVAP system = 1350 idle.

On the plus side, I successfully made a 12 dollar smoke machine/leak detector with a paint can.

The Ice Cream Cruise was the most fun I've had in quite a while... I wish I could make it out Saturday, but I will be videotaping at an MPT Doo Wop Concert at the Meyerhoff and then headed to the Foodie Experience at the Hippodrome.

There will be a slight change to the agenda for Saturday. The Back Road Cruise to McAvoys will depart Westminster a little later than 2:00 PM.
