Thanks for your help. I will check that tomorrow. I feel sure I put it on. Sometime back that hose came off when the motor backfired an it had a miss. That isn;t happening now it runs smooth. But I will check it.............Thank You..E

Other possibilities ...

Vac leaks and hose next to the front of the plenum behind the air horn may have popped off

I would like to thank all of you for your help with this. Goldcylon your link was the most helpful. Thanks for taking the time to look it up. It has given me a number of things to look at. Although I think I will be pulling the plenum. I think I now know where the leak will be. I never thought about it being a vacuum leak. I was thinking electrical....Thanks Again..E

I had a high idle problem too after I got my Z back together. Mine was higher at like 3K rpm though. Turned out that my TPS was not adjusted correctly.

So you might also want to check that your TPS (throttle position sensor) is properly calibrated. There is a procedure in the service manual that outlines how to check and adjust it.

Thanks..I will look into that if what I found today doesn;t fix it. I took the plinum back off today. I found one of the larger plastic tubes was loose. I glued it back in. Tomorrow I will put it back togather an I will try again. I will read about the TPS tonight incase I have to go there........ Thanks E.
