Default Sent an email to Rock Auto about catalog errors...

I've been getting really tired of finding distributor caps and rotors, and other parts that do not exist in a ZR-1, in the RockAuto catalog. I e-mailed customer service, and here's their reply:

I looked at the examples you provided, and looked at some of the other ZR1 listings (including the 1992 model). There are, unfortunately, a number of issues with the ZR1 listings. I've brought these to the attention of the individual who is in charge of the catalog, and I am certain these will be getting his prompt attention.

We have recently undertaken an overall revision of the catalog structure, with the goal of simplifying part searches for our customers. One of the challenges in that effort is defining what constitutes a different car model - as opposed to a car which has a different model name, but is really only a difference in trim level.

The LT5 engine, of course, is very different than the L98 or LT1 engines of the base Corvette. We will be reviewing these listings in order to correctly filter the parts into the correct listings, either by the J VIN code for the ZR1 or in some other fashion.

We value the input you've provided. Making our catalog as accurate as possible is an ongoing effort and whenever a customer spots an error, we very much appreciate being notified of it.

Only if eBay would do the same, they pull my listings for having a duplicate item by mistake, but damn the amount of rubbish LT5 stuff that shows now is beyond silly.

I agree 100%. According to Ebay, everything fits a ZR-1.

Yah, ebay is a lost cause, unfortunately. It sucks for the legitimate ZR-1 parts vendors, like Jerry and Kurt, since their products get lost in a sea of miscategorized trash
