Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
ah believe it or not, that repair is not too bad..
You don't need to take the whole front of the motor off to get the the pump

Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
Yep, did that job, not too bad. Save yourself some aggravation, use the new pump to make up a cardboard template for all the bolts. Make re-installation a snap.

Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
Yeah I know, just bad timing and I like to whine!
Recently picked up a 95 Tahoe for a project to tinker on and the water pump issue just adds crap to my list. Good news is, she just got a nice little birthday gift that will keep her occupied until I get her ZR-1 done! Last edited by Shrek; 09-06-2011 at 10:30 AM. Reason: Good News |

Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
Why is that? I bought Karen a 750i Sport a couple of years ago and we absolutely love the car and have not had a moments trouble.

Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
i've got a friend who is a service writer for bmw. with the over complicated nature of the cars they're producing now, there's no way you'll be able to keep them running after the warranty runs out, according to him.

Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
Went through 3 waterpumps on my wifes 330I back in the day....bad design, weight of the impeller causes bearing failure.......I think newer ones went to electric
If anyone needs the WP tool for the E46 let me know
