Well it looks like I'll be going to the Texas BBQ again this year so I really need to get the water pump and Samco hoses put on. But in searching for the Samco hose clamps with no luck, I ran accross a site that has really nice T-bolt hose clamps that are made for silicone hoses non galling. They arent cheap. But I think I'm gonna try them out.

I've never had my hands on a Samco clamp but I believe all you need or maybe all they are is a "lined worm clamp" that you can find in most medium/heavy duty truck suppliers.
I've used these on the silicone hoses on trucks, taxi/police package cars etc. Fleet-Pride is a nationwide supplier that I'm quite sure stocks Breeze and there should be a Fleet-Pride near you! They will also have the t-bolt style and maybe a prevailing torque style but the important "feature" you're looking for is "lined"! If they have any with a "floating bridge" look at those also. Stores: http://www.fleetpride.com/truck-part...-a-branch.html A sizing chart: http://www.partssystems.com/liner-ho...ps-breeze.html I'll "eye-ball" a couple of cars tomorrow at Carlisle to see how similar they are but I'd guess if yu got an early start you could be "hosed and clamped" by the time I could pass on the information!! |
