Remaining Zr1`s
Of all the zr1`s manufactured, i wonder how many are out there still alive and breathing? i personally know of two that are gone. one was bought in florence alabama. a 1990 model. it and the owner left this world within the next 45 minutes. rumor was that gm got it back. the second was one that i saw at a salvage sale in memphis. this was in 1990 also. it looked horrible. the motor was laying on the ground beside what was left of the car. i didnt stay long enough to see it sale but i later heard that it brought 4k. anybody care to guess?..........richard.........

Re: Remaining Zr1`s
I have wondered the same myself, Rich. My uninformed guess would be around 5,000. Nice round number based on no factual info what so ever!

Re: Remaining Zr1`s
I would think more of a 10% loss, maybe 15% the most. Based on the hope that ZR1 owners are better drivers than the mere mortals we must share the road with.

Re: Remaining Zr1`s
While this is not a comprehensive list, we do try to keep track of known ZR-1's that have fallen in the line of duty.

Re: Remaining Zr1`s
You know I saw the list b4 but never really read all the entries but I did this time. Makes one think with all the rebuilds out there that a Car fax vin check is a must for any potential ZR-1 purchase. The list of potential problems is a darn good one cause it had all but one item that is wrong on my ZR-1 that I need to fix. Lucky mine are the easy cheep ones, leaky(oil) header hanger stud, broken cd player, backup lamp switch and power antenna and one not on the list, new emer. brake lever. Such is my spring repair list for 2006. oh yeah time to do all the fluids and air filter too!!!

Re: Remaining Zr1`s
IMO..........There is alot fewer ZR1's out there that we think. Between race cars , totaled , insurance and cars being parted .
