Default Dynomite, are you serious??

I didn't want to off-topic the thread on an LT5 for sale, but you made this comment:

Are you seriously going to buy a whole new crate motor just because Jeff Flint has not returned your engine parts?? That seems absolutely insane to me. Surely someone can help you out with this, hell for the price of the motor, you could round trip air several ZR-1 brothers to his house with you!

Ok cool, glad to hear that! I also didn't know you were planning further work on your original engine. You might consider a non brand-new motor for cheaper, if you'll just be running it a short while. I suspect you'll kill some of the value of a new crate motor once you install it.

Sorry if you've already posted the status elsewhere, but have you gotten your engine parts back yet?

Cool, glad to hear you got everything back.

Why'd you delete threads on it though? I bet someone looking to have similar work done in the future would want to have that feedback...

All anyone has are personal experiences with a vendor. No one, to my knowledge, has a vendor's soul analyzed for the presence of evil or anything.

If I were considering sending stuff to Jeff, I'd sure as hell want to know about your experience. If it's a fluke, there'll be millions of people with the opposite experience as well. Putting together various individual experiences is about as good as it gets before rolling the dice and sending someone your money or parts.

I don't want to belabor it, but posting an experience is not complaining. Posting a negative experience is no different than posting a positive one. The feedback is welcome by people considering using the vendor, and the vendor should appreciate feedback on how they are doing. I wouldn't want to do business with someone who didn't want to hear about negative experiences. How do you improve without feedback?

Anyway, I'll drop it now. Mainly I'm glad to hear you got it worked out in the end, and got the work done that you paid for.

Agreed 100%, Bob. I don't think we should be deleting information to help fellow Z owners make educated decisions about which vendors to patronize. It's one thing to add a follow-up, stating that the issue was resolved to both parties' satisfaction, but to delete it as if it never happened, I don't think that's fair. The vendor in question here has a long track record of being slow, and taking many months to send parts, whether new in the box, or a customer's parts sent for work.

I don't understand this mentality of protecting any vendor. If they cared enough about their own business, they'd take proper care of their customers.
