That's not what the normal tips look like, is it? Those seem different. Any picts of the whole back of the car?

I think that they look way better than the stock tips on my 90! They are good looking, the flat black stock tips...well the only nice thing I can say about them is they don't show the dirt much...LOL.

I think they look cool & on my black Z I think some shinny stuff would look great out back. I like them Z Factor! I have a Q, please

Those tips are really a muffler swap out, right? No can do on my car the mufflers are welded not clamped

Anyway, Z Factor. I think the tips look very good, imho.

Hi Steve!! Happy New Year! Hope everyone at the ranch is okay!

Thanks for the info. It seems some 90's have clamped systems & some have welded one pc systems. Oh Well, I guess I have to just wear out my stock exhaust and then make the decision on what to do. It's funny when I go on runs with the guys in the NE events section over at CF my G/F always says to me "how come this car doesn't make noise like all the C5's? Can't you do something to make it sound better...we're too quiet." I get a chuckle out of hearing that & then I tell her if she wants to donate to the Z's exhaust fund I accept cash in any form as long as it's US dollars!

Thanks for the complement.

In answer to your question, those tips are actually straight from B&B. When I ordered my Tri-Flow system, one of the original tips had some damage from shipping, so they sent me a replacement set. When they arrived I thought they had sent the wrong mufflers since they had different tips. As it turns out they are the exact same mufflers, just different tips were added. I sent pictures to someone at B&B, and they were surprised as well, but told me that several different tips can be added to the Tri-Flow muffler set up. They are going to be getting back to me to tell me exactly which tips they are. I was just lucky, but for people ordering the system in the future, they can request the alternate tip as opposed to the rolled edge. I think both look great, but these have certainly grown on me.

Heheh, I like them! The "square" look was the bomb, much imitated by C4 aftermarket exhausts back then. The "ZR-1" tips...

I really think the black color is more appropriate on the '84-90 body. Chrome and flash just don't look right to me. I've been thinking if I got a Corsa system, I'd probably paint the tips and mufflers with some high-temp black paint. Call me crazy, but on the ZR-1, I like the stock exhaust look.

I wont call you crazy as good looks are in the eye of the beholder, but I have not seen a better looking system than the B&B. True it stands out and draws attention, but it is not gaudy or overwhelming. The combo of sight and sound of the B&B Tri-Flow makes the system well worth the price.

BTW- I don't have complete rear end pictures. I had a few more partial rear shots, but they would not compress enough so I had to delete them.

How is the interior noise/resonance? I hear the new B&B system is liveablr. Are you using a resonator?

I would say there is an improvement compared to what I remember in a few ZR-1's with the older system. That said, it is still pretty noticeable, especially since I have headers, no cats, and x-pipe. B&B claims that the resonator will help compared to the x-pipe, which of course makes sense.
