Default Door Change(s) Between '90 and '91 ?

The General Info linked from the Registry home page states that the 1991 cars had improved doors.... what specifically is different on the 91 doors that constituted the improvement?

Also, was FX3 standard on all ZR-1 including the '90?

Thanks a bunch for any help !

Scott, I don't know much about the doors...actually I've never seen a 91 door, LOL.

However my window sticker lists "selective ride and handling" package as part of "ZR1 Special Performance Package @ $27,016.00"......humm odd I never noticed that they didn't use the "-" in between the R and the 1 on the window sticker listing of the package?...

Thanks for the info Tom - I've never seen a '91 door either but I will be soon.

Really curious how the '91 door was improved.......

Not an addition..... unfortunately a replacement.

Needed to sell the '95 and am in the market for a nice, earlier year car.

Wish I could have afforded an addition but priorities change and she says mine have!

FX3 was on all ZR-1s with the exception of some of the 88 prototypes.

Have looked at both the 90 and 91 doors...unless there is something internal that changed the only diff I see is the switch to body color molding vs the black (regardless of body color) molding on the MY 90.

The 90-92 retained the extra 'pin & keeper' at the top rear of the door then in 93+ that feature disappeared.

Thanks Eric and Michael!

Seems the door improvement couldn't have been of significance.

Appreciate your help.

i wonder does the 90 door have the sound deadening of the later cars .could that be the improvement, the sound deadening gives the door a more solid feel when you close it
