Mickey Thompson Drag radials. A friend just gave me a set of them already mounted on black A molds. They are the same size as the fronts 275 40 17 Only ran twice. He showed me a vid of him running a 10.34 sec 1/4 mounted on his C6 with a cam/procharger and a 3800 stall converter. The front tires came off the ground at least 2" when he launched. So I mounted them last night. The black rims do look pretty good on a red Z but they look a little funny since they aren't quite as wide as the 315's. I can tell I'm gonna have to heat them up pretty good in order to get them to stick good. They sure did stick better than my street tires and they weren't even heated up yet. So I'm anxious to try them out at the strip. Hopefully I can get a few more tenths out of them.

rick those will work better than the 315x35x17s that i have been using . the 275 have a taller side wall . with the fidanza flywheel you should try launching about 3500 for a starting point . if you do a decent burnout your going to love the result

3500-4000 is what I'm thinking to. And since I can't just hit the front brakes and do a brake stand without toasting the rear pads I'll do two burnouts just to make sure. At Sealy once both staging lights are triggered you only have about 2 seconds to get your act together and get your launch RPM were you want it before it's green light go. Everything moves really fast there. Of course until somebody hits the wall. Then it stops for two hours. They also have 1/8 mile jackpot racing were each person that participates puts $100 in the pool and the fastest time of the night takes it all. Pretty cool.

Hey Will I'm gonna try to get those modified spacers done Friday night and I'll come over and help you get that 415 put back together so we can go to sealy on the 20th of this month for jackpot racing. And if you win the jackpot you can take me to dennys. Hehehe!

I know man. It was mighty expensive paying $0 for a set of mickey's and amolds. I was wondering how I was going to explain that to my wife.

I think they are referring to no tire spin means other things might break.

I'm fully prepared for that to happen. I've got a brand new clutch and all new spicers. Hopfully I don't break anything only making a few runs. I'll be happy with mid 12's. On street tires I consistantly ran 12.9's. We shall see.
