1994 Zr-1
Somebody quickly give me an good reason why its more important to have a ZR-1 than a house... My wife seems to have this crazy notion about how you can't throw your kids in the hatchback area and such. I never thought I would be saying this, however I might need to sell the mechanical extension of myself to the highest bidder. Well actually it would have to be somebody I feel will take as good care of her as I have and read her stories at night. I feel like I just stabbed my best friend in the back and put her up for sale! These cars kinda grow on you huh? My vacuum leak is just waiting on parts and will be fixed before sale. within a week or so. So please, either somebody talk me out of it or make an offer. I know I wont get as quick a sale by just making this thread however I don't want to put her on any sale list or autotrader or any crap like that. I would like somebody from here to have her. Let me know

Re: 1994 Zr-1
Say it ain't so Francisco. If owning the car, assuming it's paid off, is the break point on the FICO score then just store it till finances get better. If the car has payments left then sometimes you can't convince the bank that it will not be a negative impact on the FICO score & the ability to pay off the mortgage.
Or is this a case of not purely financial logic/reality on the spouse's part? If it is then you're in a tough spot. I think the logic equations from a female point of view goes something like this: Eq.#A. House + Kids = no toys(ever x infinity)/winning lotto Eq.#B. ZR-1 = alpha = toys. Eq.#C. House + kids + mini-van > toys. If all Eqs. are true, and A = C and A and C > B then B is < either A or C therefore C can not exist in any sub-set having A and B, unless C's value is less than Zero. Therefore B can not exist. The logic maybe faulty but that's reliative. I hope this made you laugh a bit. Tom btw, if I ever hit lotto big I'm going to set up an investment fund that can be used to shelter banished ZR-1's in cases like this.

Re: 1994 Zr-1
If you have to sell it, you have to sell it. While they are awesome cars, they are just cars. They aren't a house or a wife or a family. If it's got to go, just be glad that it's going to a group of ownership that keeps them in such great shape. So there will still be some nice ones out there when your time comes around again. It won't be your last Corvette.

You do what you have to do. Take care of your family first, the rest will take care of itself

Thanks for the comforting words guys... Luckily its not a spouse problem, she has always been very supportive about the car. I was just kidding about the kids in the hatch area part. It would just look shytty on my part, in the situation I am in right now if I didnt try to exhaust every last source of money. Not too much need in the job market for somebody who's been blowing camels up for the last couple years. Funny, I am a certified communications expert but because I had a rifle in the other hand I must be a stupid grunt. Anybody need to overthrow a tyrannical leader? Give me a call. Cheapest prices garuanteed!
