Default Anyone have experience with wheel spacers ?

I have heard are all kinds of tales about wheel spacers. I am about to try some and would appreciate any advice. Is there a best brand out there ? What is the secret to not breaking off studs ? Do they tend to vibrate and cause alignment issues ? Any other issues to be aware of ? Thanks, I am hoping a few of you have first hand knowledge of this subject.

No problems with mine, make sure you get good ones. Many runs at 115mph at the track.

Ive had 2 inch spacers on my C-3 to fit Z-06 wheels. No issues in two years.

I've ran spacers on the front of my 85 Vette to run ZR1 rims on it for 12 years now, no issues at all. These were the good ones that cost $100+ for each corner.

Sgreg,

I asked the question because I had been investigating the same issue while thinking of Z06 wheels. Locobob may care to comment but my impression was that an adapter should be used with any thickness greater than 1/2". Also, there's the issue of hub and wheel centric.

I use a 20mm spacer with GM Racing Wheel studs..

When ever I determine what I will do for final wheels that may change
