Default Looking for Fastlane, the Beast needs help

Hello everyone, A little about my car Its a naturally aspirated 372 1990 ZR1 that Corey Henderson, Rick Harden and myself built to run at Bonneville. We ran the car last Aug , speedweek and turned consistent 218-220 at the 5 mile mark, still acellerating at the end.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sGoGa9t__o

we just ran the car at the Texas mile, 178.645 mph

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbjyBmx0N5Y

I have been limited on this car by the Gearing of the ZF 6 speed, running in 4 th on the salt, with a 2.59 rear gear, 28" tire, and at the Texas mile 5 th , 3.54 rear gear, 25" tire.

In all cases the gears changes (3-4 , 4-5) are just too tall for the stage three cams,
I need to put a Jerico roadracing 5 speed in the car with 5 th at 1:1
I have been told that FastLane had done this. Can anybody help me,
We are going back after the record 230.5 mph next year an have to get with the program.

Thanks Dave

How can I help you I had a Jerico for about 6 months then I went to a Lenco. You can use a Jerico or a Liberty they both let you pick any gear set you need. The Lenco is really better just for drags. You will need a bellhousing slightly modified and a hydrolic throwout bearing. Any questions let me know.

All is well, Dean just took a Prof job at U of Alabama teaching Physics. He often asks about you. How is the wolf doing? You racing anything?

Since the car is going to be racing on the salt do you recommend a trans cooler and do they have the fittings for lines?

My Husky has been gone for a few years now I miss him he sure liked the race track. I don't think it needs a cooler the salt is a lot shorter than road racing. The Liberty or the Jerico can be made to work and can be had with any gearset. Im glad to here Dean is doing well. I have not done any drag racing but I have a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 that I had out at California speedway road racing track, but I had it out at Mojove airport for the filming of Runway Titans DVD I enjoyed running it 5000 ft instead of 1320ft One of the cars I ran that day was a new ZR1 I thought it was faster then it turned out to be or maybe he picked the wrong guy to race.I have a C6 conv, but my daughter drives it. I drive the Aston Martin DB9 as my regular car and the LP640 on Sunday. I still have a bunch of original ZR1 parts and gaskets and some things not made anymore, I should make a list and post them but I got lazy this year. As far as I know the guy that bought my car has never had it out of storage. Keep in touch

Hi Lane,

Your car was on Ebay awhile back. Did you put it on there or sell it before that? Pretty impressive car Mr.

Thanks for posting here.

I believe the guy that bought it from me has never had it out of storage since he got it. I heard he got married last year so he must of tried to sell it. I built that car in the early to mid ninties and I think no one has been quicker in all these years. Check out the In car video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHuhnXVsyG0
