It was 45-50 this past weekend. Was in garage putting car up on jackstands getting ready to install DRM brackets and Michelin 345s on rear wheels.
Also pulling front fascia off to get stripped and repainted. Motor started right up, warmed up and idled down to 875-925 nicely. I did notice a very small coolant leak coming from lower rad hose to thermo housing. Not sure if it was part of cold weather startup or if hose clamp needs tightening. Supposed warmer weather this weekend, so I'll be checking it out. |

Had mine out on Sunday afternoon. Had been mostly dry for a few days and 64 degrees here in Indianapolis. The wife insisted we take a quick drive and who am I to complain! Also gave me an opportunity to look at a few areas of paint I need to touch up and polish in good daylight, as well as get a good look at the Oil Cooler lines that have a bit of a leak.
Other than that, she was very happy to be on the road while NOT in the schmutz that was our trip cross country. ![]()

![]() If you hadn't heard, the few days immediately preceding the C4 gathering at Bowling Green will see the Mountain Run #4 (MR4) take place - spending 3 days exploring some of the best known "twisties" anywhere. There you'll get to experience some of what the Z was designed to do with several of or Z brothers AND some GS drivers as well! Keep an eye on this site for "MR4" announcements, as planning is in the works as I type this! |

Ok I had to laugh Dom. This just happened to me. I tightened all the SAMCO stainless clamps and they ALL appeared loose. Mine was dripping from the same dam spot. The coolant bleed line was running from where the hose connected to the middle of the lower TH connector.... then onto the garage floor.

Thanks, Craig.
Looks like a nice versatile cruiser/cross bike in your pics … and even the Corvette name on it. Quote:
