Using a battery tender on a disconnected battery's not a bad idea.
With the disconnected battery you don't have to worry about
the electrical system in the car being "hot".
So, ya gotta reset your radio presets in the Spring?

Doug,
For extra measure I drain all of the gas each time I park, to avoid any chance of fire.
I also deflate the tires to prevent an explosion in the event the garage becomes too warm.
Next I plan on removing the glass so no one gets cut should it break.
Am I being overly cautious?
Don't respond til tomorrow.
I shut off my electricity in the house every day to preclude any chance of a bad wire causing a problem.

I drain the blinker light fluid from my car anywhere I go since that stuff is flammable. I don't want my car to spontaneously combust sitting in the garage or wherever I might be

Amateurs!

I take my whole car apart whenever I park in my garage. Can't have any part of the car interact with any other part, too dangerous, and besides it's known in California to cause cancer.

I've done this so often I'm down to 15 minutes for disassembly and assembly.
