I heard a member say in the emails that we could sign a "waiver" when each person gets the dyno sheet? That would work for me!

I'll ask.

Cheers

I would not have a beef with the numbers. I'm just happy with the numbers I have NOW.

I hope they have not been destroyed. Any Idea's ???

I can't believe all the posts and opinions I've read on this subject. It reminds me of a lot of the politicians in Washington DC where there's too much talking but little being accomplished.
If this history info that's at the museum is too much for any of the past and present players to make a decision on, my suggestion is we should contact NCRS to take over and manage this info.
They have done an outstanding job documenting the history of Corvettes. I'm sure they could/would duplicate their past performance with all the important ZR-1 info that no one seems to be able to bring to fruition???

What we need are a couple ZR-1 owners who are Lawyers to get the ball rolling. I'm sure there are a couple somewhere who are enthusiasts and knowledgeable enough to push something like this through. As members we could support in a monetary way & they could contribute the expertise, probably wouldn't cost much, just invested time.

How about a friendly request signed by the ZR-1 registry members/ZR-1 owners and sent up to GM or the corvette. museum Essentially a petition.

These can often take the form of a standardized e-mail that is sent out and each member sends it to the group to which they are appealing.

Or maybe we get OJ Simpson to bust in the National corvette museum and get them, I heard he is good at that.

I just don't think anything will work as well as something printed up on an attorneys letterhead. That letterhead says allot to the other side, you need a lawyer to make any move from my experience, petition, friendly letter, to a forceful tone with a line or two of legal jargon for backup.

If the reason they are hesitent to send the rssults is the fear of being sued for lack of performance, as the 99 Cobra experienced, I would think sending a letter on an attorney's letterhead would only be cause for further caution.

I work with and deal with attorney's every day, honestly to someone who has a legal team, the involvement of an attorney really has no impact unless there is gross misconduct on someone's behalf, in which case you are screwed either way. Generally the calm and rationale presentation gets a better result than subtle indication that are looking to pick a beef. What would our grounds for litigation be, or how could an attorney for their hand. Ask the people who own 96-99 Ford Taurus SHOs(Cam gear failures), their class action has gone no where even with legal representation.

Just my opinion.

Pardon my ignorance.

These dyno sheets are the actual "test" results of each of our car's motor's when they were finished at Mercury Marine? Before they were shipped to BG for use in assembling our cars? WOW!

JMHO, again not to be speaking out of place. I would gladly buy a copy of my dyno sheet from the NCM archives. You know, just like when we buy copies of the build sheet & sticker. Wouldn't the NCM have a better shot at asking nicely to be allowed to be the "curator" of those "historical documents"? I'd even pre-pay for my sheet.
