I have seen some ZR1's with this date marked and some without. Under the hood on the drivers side toward the front the assembly date written in some kind of pen. Were they all marked and been washed off or just certain years ? colors ? special orders ?

My ZR has the date info... 10 27 89 >>
![]() Yes you really can not see in this pic... anyway I believe all the ZR-1s had this and over time were rubbed/cleaned or just wore away |

my 91 built in 90 is in the same place but on the lower edge of hood, on the black part, on top of the painted part, seems to be inscribed, also has initials AL

If you drop the spare tire out of the tub, put your head where the tire was and look back, there should be a date on the aluminum rear bumper frame in crayon. I understand this is a "build date".
From this position you should be able to look up between the gas tank and the back of the storage compartment and see the build sheet. Enjoy ![]() |
