I just took a one piece T-40 and put it on the grinder and ground it down until it was nice and thin. Worked perfect.

Jim...I like those T handle jobs...but a question... the plenum torx bolts need to be set at 19 ft lb... how does that work with the T handle set up??

I like the T-handle wrench for removing the bolts. They have a nice weight to them and they spin nicely. For installing the bolts, they work well. I torque mine by experience. If you needed a more acurate value, a torque wrench with an appropriate bit would be needed.

I've got such-a-deal 4 YOU! I'll pick one up for ya Monday, if you want. Mebby if there is some interest, we could do a bulk purchase - the one I got was under $10 (closer to $5, as I recall). I'll post a pic of the tool.

Also, for those that have converted to the stainless hex socket-head bolts for their plenum, this might interest youz guyz too: Snap-On sells a hex that is 6" long with a 3/8 ratchet drive on one end. Now that one is a bit pricy - about $25 for Pete and me - but it is sooooo handy for torquing those bolts between the runners on the plenum.
