What differences are you wanting to check for? You can take the settings and transfer them to the 90 calibration, but not plug a 93 calibration into a 90 ECM. ECMs are backward compatible so you can run a 93 cal in a 90 using the corresponding 93 ECM but not vice versa.

Okay Luis this a a link to our cross reference chart of our ECM's and PROM's , and I don't find that P/N you listed, unless I missed it?

The both of them should have P/N's printed on them. The ECM has a white sticker usually on the top and the EPROM's have either black or blue printing on on the metal heat sink/shield.

I have a spare EPROM, AUAH, it's my OE Prom from my 90. I could send it to you to try? I also have a spare ECM if needs be.

The only thing I'm sure of with EPROM's is that a 90 chip needs to be in a 90 ZR-1, but I ain't real up on this stuff. Dom is fluent in EPROM, ....take what he says to the bank!

You can use the 93 by cutting the eprom that is on top of it. It then becomes a 90 only prom.

Uncontrolled Curiousity

I had bought a new 93z ecm & prom last year for future need. although my z is a 90, I just couldnt pass it up at the price, He hooked me up.

with everyones help, and everything we've tested and changed so far, we pretty much boiled it down to Injector issues.

I'm taking it to Corey soon for the injector fix, headers, tune.

just kinda hard to hear your Z whining in the garage cuz it wants to be fixed and that ecm& prom just sitting in a box taunting me.. day in...dayout

Really, was hoping if it could be put in it..just maybe it would make it that much better .....still taking it to Corey even if it were to run better.

I know that ecm issues would prompt other symptoms, codes ect..I'm not that far into grasping all the diagnostic tech relation stuff, i'm kinda of a part swapper but i have had no codes to chase either.

Thanks for the info from everyone, now I know what I can do and cant.
(put in 93ecm w-90 chip only)

Thanks Guys!!

Luis

oh, Tom, Ricks bringing me his 90chip to check out, thank you !!!! for your offer to lend me yours.

Sam,
I still need to fix my z, but as soon as I do and dont need the 93 prom as mentioned in this thread, I wouldnt mind selling it to you at all.
Thing is, it may be a little while before I take it to Corey's and determine if I would even have to or able to use it with my 90. I know its not a definite, and timing not right for you but just wanted to offer it.

Please let me know as soon you decided what you're going to do with the prom. I also look for other model year proms.
