17x10's would work just fine on the front and may give you a little extra brake clearance (though with the random way Fikse seems to offset the spokes, who the hell knows).
They measure 11 inches where the tire seats and 12 inches at the top of the flange. So I feel they are 11 inches officially. I would not feel comfortable using stock size front tires (275-40-17) on an 11 inch wheel. I thing they could walk in heavy turning situations. Prior to all this I bought a full set of standard Z sized GY's to mount. So I really don't feel like buying more new tires right now. About the guy that has more money than sense; I have no money left and no sense, apparently.

Ah, that sucks... Technically the Goodyear GS-D3 in 275/40-17 is suitable for up to an 11" wide rim. But I hear what you are saying that they aren't what you want. They are what you got though, so you could try mounting the wheels on the front just to get a feel for how they fit?
