Default ATI Damper

I see ATI is now advertising the LT-5 Damper....no price listed. I think someone here had one and it was about $700.

None you'll be able to measure, unless you are able to put the engine on an inertia dyno. Gains would be tiny. Does do a better job of dampening though.

The balancer is larger OD than the stock unit. Interferes with a water pump bolt. Not insurmountable, but a pain nonetheless.

Todd,

Thanks. Good to know in the case of needing to replace balancer.
I replaced the one on my 84 with a Fluidamper when I realized the outer ring was slipping over the inner hub.

I just picked up a Dorman balancer from Rock Auto. It was $151.79 + shipping. Unit seems to be well made, but I won't know how it performs until I finish putting my engine back together. I decided to change the balancer while the engine was out for mods.
