Default Dyson Racing's new AER/Lola

Braselton, Ga. - We now know what Dyson Racing's new AER-powered Lola B06/10s will look like – at least on paper. The team on Wednesday released renderings of the livery that will adorn the two LMP1 cars that will contest the 2006 American Le Mans Series.

Dyson Racing is one of several teams that will be on hand next week for the second annual American Le Mans Series Winter Test at Sebring International Raceway, Jan. 23-25. The first of the new Lolas will be delivered to the team in Florida, just in time for the Winter Test..

James Weaver and Butch Leitzinger will team in the No. 16 entry for the 2006 American Le Mans Series. They will be joined at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans by Andy Wallace. In the No. 20 car, Chris Dyson and Guy Smith will share duties. At least four of the drivers, and possibly all five, are scheduled to be at the Winter Test next week.

The familiar blue and white return for Dyson Racing, although it appears to be a slightly different hue of blue. The American flag and the Union Jack – which likely represents not just the drivers but also the partnership between Dyson Racing, Lola and British engine manufacturer AER – are located on the rear wings, along with a new team logo. It's unlikely that the scheme will be on the car for the Winter Test, though.
