I was working on the windows on my Z this weekend. After a couple minutes the fan came on.. thing is the car has not been started for a couple days so I know the temp did not require it. Not sure what it could be but looking for some suggestions

Check for codes. If you went in to limp home mode the fans come on.

shut off engine then turn key to on, with engine not running fan stays off. I need to go through the troubleshoot guide in the manual which fan is the left? 1 or 2?

Jeff, just one fan goes on or both?
If it goes on with with key on i'm thinking relay. Swap out relays. Check Prom. Pete

If you ever want to come over and swap parts out of one of mine to test, let me know. Might save you some $

Not the Relay, Swapped and the same issue
I hooked up my Laptop, AC Request is set to 'Yes' even when the controller is 'OFF' Keep in mind I have C60 (Manual AC) So I followed the troubleshooting guide, and it says if I put a test light from Green connector pin #2 of the ECM to ground, I should get a light in Bi-level, AC, Max and Defrost.. it never lights. I need to check the wire and check the under dash connector, but the odd thing is the AC works.. so I am a bit confused on that.. I am guessing I have a loose connection or broken wire Ah well, I will check it when I start working on the passenger side window
