Call 'er "Fireball"!!
NO! Not my Z, but Ami's 69 (again!). I'm beginning to think this car is possessed!! I removed a bunch of rubber fuel line, replacing it with steel lines. But, the 3" piece of rubber hose I used as a junction link - I didn't get the hose clamp on tight enough, and it squirted gasoline onto something and poof! The fire extinguisher was almost resting in my grasp, and a quick squirt, and all was well. No damage - a little soot and a lot of powder (from the extinguisher), but that was all.
A trip to Auto Zone (open till 9AM, in case ya need to know that) and I had me a proper made for that carb steel fuel line. All is well - fired right up as tho nothing had happened and no leaks. But! I'm still and shaking my head and thanking the Lord for sending an angel to watch over me! P. |
