Here's a couple of vids from Byron today. Couldn't get a better day weather wise. They had over 300 cars there. A gracious young man took these two vids so they're not terrific but you get the flavor.
![]() ![]() They had us pretty well mixed in with different types of cars. I dropped my tire pressure (street tires) to 30psi and that made a big difference in 60' ttimes and 1/8 MPH. My numbers for the day were: Running an 08 C6 Coupe 6 speed. 12.797 @ 116.34 C6 12.892 @113.37 ![]() Running the Saleen Mustang in the vid 12.786 @115.27 Mustang No sense in posting ![]() Running a Mitsu Evo 12.71 @ 116.19 Evo 12.589 @ 110.82 I won top end by .2014 Although pulling air from tires helped launch, 2nd gear still a problem. Tires slip and need to back off till they grip again. I can see how DRs could make a difference. There may be one more vid of me running the C6. I'll post if I get it. ![]() |

nice runs for street tires . next time try short shifting from 1st to sec. at 5800 . i found it really helped me . having 392s in 1 car and 410s in another , i am starting to agree that 3.45s might be actually faster at the strip. you would have a better chance of hooking i think . i have a set of 345s i would like to try. if you decide to go the drag radials route ,i found that the 2.75x40x17s work better than the 315x35x17 due to the larger sidewall .that helps a manual car launch.thanx for the videos

I will say the 4:09s are great from a roll, on the way home on some backroads around Union, I I had 2 Ducatti bikes follow me, we were messing around and one tried passing me on a 2 mile straight(this is in the middle of no where).....after flying up on the back of the car. He pulled up along side.....and was egging me on....I hammered from 3rd and stayed side by side with him......I am sure he was not at full throttle, but we came to a stop and he said that he was surpirsed at the accel from 50+ we ran up to about 120mph.
