Wasn't me, I don't get down to Tyson's. Would be interesting if you caught up with them, I'm sure there are several Z's in the area that aren't on the forum.

I don't think Dave tends to drive his car to work, but who knows. Sure would be cool if it were him, I'd like to see his car one of these days! (Hint, hint Dave!)

Hey Phil, I agree, it's neat to see that people still know something about the old Z.

I get my emissions inspection done at Ferrari of Washington both because it is convenient to work, and because they are careful with the car. While I was waiting, I was talking with a guy after his sales guy ran to get a phonecall. I asked him if he was buying something.

He explained he just brought his car in because it had a rattle, and that he's thought about upgrading it. I asked what he had, and he said a 360. He was considering jumping up to a 430, but the price differential was putting him off. So other than the fact that he was very nice, he was in the market for the newer "yuppie" sort of Ferrari's. I wouldn't have expected him to know much about cars in general.

He asked what I had, and I said just an older Corvette and that I get the emissions inspection done here. He was interested and asked how old. I told him 1990. He then went on about how that was the year the new ZR-1 came out, and how he thought that was a cool car. So I told him that was what my car was. He knew all about the engine and body changes, and mentioned he thought it was dumb they went to the square taillights on all Corvettes after that.

About that time, the service guy came to get me because my car was done, so I told the guy it had been nice talking with him and got going. It's neat when you bump into people who know something about these cars. I never expect anyone to have a clue about them.

Indeed. Sorry many people just do not know what we have here. BTW...the red ZR-1 wasn't me either. Mine was under wraps that day.
