Doing the mile run is definitely on my bucket list.
Even tho I live close enough to easily do the Maxton Mile, their restrictions have put me off. I'm now looking at the Texas Mile or possibly going to Vegas (hey Ron, you got a spare bedroom?)

I'm in the process of buying a house this month so I don't know yet

The Vegas Mile might have run it's last race. I'm to retire this June and I actually go on terminal leave next week

Cheers,
RH

Terminal Leave sounds pretty serious. Are you not feeling well?

Probably shouldn't have posted that last one. Sometimes my humor is more than a little off.

Congrats on the impending retirement. You've earned it and I hope you enjoy every minute of it.

Ron,

I'm right behind ya - - - 1 August is my "(R)" date.

That is one of the reason I was thinking of doing the Maxton Mile. The airport there is one of the local areas used by Bragg for emergency procedures training. I spent many a day and night there trying my best to break one of the taxpayers' airframes.

Figure it would be sort of cool to bust the mile at a speed that neither my Cobra or Apache could ever make.

Are you staying in Vegas, Ron? Or heading for beltway banditville in DC?
Either way, congrats on your "retirement".

Thanks for the words...

I'll be flying 737's out of LSV for a small company 3.5 days per week...

We just put an offer on a house in SW Las Vegas today. Looking forward to spending more time in the garage and with Raptor Turbo Systems.

Cheers,
Ron
