Default Maxton Mile Speed?

Anybody have an idea what the MPH at one mile from a standing start would be for our cars?

I have been kicking around the idea of traveling out to Laurinburg NC and doing a high speed run at the "Maxton Mile" that is put on by the East Coast Timing Association (ECTA). An old Army buddy of mine is the ECTA’s Race Director and he has been after me to bring the Beast out there to play.

The speed sets the type of safety equipment required, so I sort of need a ballpark idea.

Thanks!

A new C6 standard Vette was clocked at 154mph at the standing mile by Road & Track. That would be a good place to start estimating.

I keep waiting for someone to say..."Hold on I will be right back!!!" and then come back with a "Hey I just ran a 152mph in the standing mile using the markers on the expressway" Anyone...

I have a 93 with headers and Heibeck chip, ran 157mph in the mile shoot out in Vegas. Those with top end work were running 160+.

Thanks,
Jerry
