Its paint. There is no way these have been off this car. I will be careful cleaning.

try and start by just wiping off the plenum with a dry cotton towel. make sure the engine is cold. the paint really dislikes being wet. original owners found out the hard way when they sprayed all different kinds of cleaners on the paint it stained horribly. this is why i had both of mine powder coated.
