i use 3-M yellow weatherstrip cement a lot. let it set-up for a minute or so before laying the gasket down. the gasket won't slide around, like silicone, plus it's realitivly easy to clean up, unlike silicone. i usually only use it on one side of the gasket. i've used it for years. don't use the black stuff, only the original yellow works, don't ask my why?

thats a great idea ryan , thanx . i did that on my old mustang to the valve covers as its got a solid lifter cam that needs adjusting from time to time
