Parts book specifies 14X1.5X80
Can someone confirm this is the correct size head bolt?
Do the factory LT5 head bolts have any special feature?
Fastenal has 10.9 grade bolts listed in this size.

I can tell you it's NOT 80mm. Thats only 3.149 inch. The bolts go from the top of the head to the bottom of the block.

What Jeff said.....14 x 1.5 x 220

Thread length is 62mm. Bolts must also have the flat ground, hardened washer. Obviously the washers can be reused, but if you have NO head bolts, the washers will be required also. Bolt head has an integral flange under the hex. I would imagine the prudent thing to do would be to send a stock head bolt to ARP to copy the configuration. I'll go so far as to say the result will be sticker shocking from ARP as well. It's a really big bolt.

ARP sent a form to fill out, they want actual measurements including gasket material etc. They stated they may have otherbolts that match.

PDF file is too big to post here.

I can't believe these frggin head bolts are more than I paid for a shortblock.

yup...that's what you gotta have is the form. got a bunch here at all times, unfortunatly. the main measurment they will want above all else is U.H.L. (under head lenght). also, i always shoot for maximum thread lenght in(to) an aluminum block.
