Default SSSSSSSSSSS

Thats what I heard last night coming from under the plenum when I opened the hood last night. I have had an idle surge for the last few weeks, ranging from 900-1100 RPM.

I tested the line going into the plenum for the secondaries, it held vac, also tested the two lines on the side of plenum, they were ok also. Finally I said screw it took the plenum off, really did not see anything....while I was in there took my OE wires off and on went the Delcos.

Sealed everything back up, and sure enough back to normal idle.....we'll see if it comes back.

My Wurth paint job on the intake has held up well so far.

I had idle surging (among other things) until I pulled the plenum and re-torqued the IHs and then the plenum (or course). I couldn't get the propane and hose trick to reveal anything, but then I couldn't really get that hose to go where I wanted it to either. In any case, torquing seems to have solved a number of problems I had at first. Runz great now!

Hummmmm........maybe just torx bolts that loosened up from heat cycling????

Sometimes I think that I forgot how to put spark plugs in a motor as I find my plugs loose on the odd occasion.....and I use a T/Q wrench to install them. To me aluminium motors are wierd......but I'm from the 'iron age'

Not sure what it was, I did tighten up everything again, but not much as they were still pretty tight. I do know taking it apart gets easier every time.
