hello there, it's very unfortunate about how you came upon ownership of your ZR-1. if you need any helpers with your Z let me know, i too am in Ga. I don't have a Z just yet, but i'm looking for a nice one that needs some work cheap, but thats anoter story. i've talked to the people at SGC about ZR-1's they seem to be extremely knowledgable. They will be a very valuable assett to you. let me know if you need anything i'm not that far from you in Covington.

Thanks..I'll have to get up with you and see if you want to spend a weekend on it. I am still working out a plan of attack for the car at the moment. I have tried to call Aaron a few times in the last few weeks to no avail...guess he's out of town or something.
I'm sure this is of little interest to you guys, but I just finished some additional tuning and mechanical work on my STi...I am now pulling right at 450awhp/476awtq. My dad would be grinning right now...

oh, and pictures to come...(of the Z).

take care guys.

Welcome aboard and sorry for the circumstances that you came to own the car. There's not much I can do from where I am other than wish you well and hope your Z serves you up many happy memories, both from the past and in the future.

Regards.

Drive it down to Panama City. I'd love to see it. Ted

You generally don't have to worry about stuff like that around here?

If you had a C5 Z06 that might be another story... just kidding of course.

Welcome to the club. Let us know how the clutch goes...sounds like that is all it REALLY needs to take a spin anyways. Are you going with a single mass or back to stock?

Rick =)

Sorry to hear of the loss of your father. You made the right decision to keep the Z. I think your father would want you to hang onto it.

Hey Guys...Sorry it has been so long to update this...it hasn't been my year is all I can say.

As it stands now, I will not be keeping the car as previously stated. There have been many developments involving my father's estate as well as the addition of about $90k in Dr bills from my little girl's rough first 2.5 years...(she's 3 now)

I have to get the title transferred over to my name before I can do anything. I had a long talk with Aaron at SGC, so I can give his opinion on the car...I'll be out of town for the next 3-4 days, but if anyone is interested, please let me know....Haven't even begun to think of a price and all that...

I'm really, REALLY sick about it...

Maybe 2009 will be better...

So sorry to hear about all of that --- Well we will all be here for many many years so when the better times come for you we will be happy to embrace your return and there will be a ZR-1 in your future then and we will all celibrate it with you --- Naturally your Dad will be happy then too!

Good luck and feel free to hang out and remain a member and make a comment or two every now and then abt your other ride and how things are going ---

After all you do own a ZR-1 even if was for a short time and we know you will return when you can --- it is your destiny either way!

Hey Guys!

I've worked really hard to get through 2008, and I did so without having to sell the Z. I'm really happy about it, though I did sell all of my other toys, including my Subaru that I did so much work to..it's for sale now.

In the end, my wife couldn't let go of it, and neither could I. I will still have to take my time with the restore process, as the funds aren't there yet..which worries me.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get it back on the road eventually...especially with all you guys' help.
