C4 Carbon Fiber Hoods

Blackdog Speed Shop, the retail arm of Blackdog Racing, is pleased to announce the latest addition to our carbon fiber body panels.

This is a complete C4 hood assembly, in a non-yellowing clear finish, allowing the carbon fiber weave to show through. The assembly is a complete bolt on, and accepts all stock accessories, like lights and prop rod. Also included are carbon fiber head light lids, to give a uniform look when the lights are in the down position. The attention to detail on these parts is so great, that the light lids look like they were made from the same sheet of fiber (weave lines up) despite having been made in a seperate operation.

Weight on our hood is right about 26 lbs, which is a savings of 40+ over the stock hood.

These are made in the USA, at the same facility where our race car body parts, and C6 parts are made.

I have the first inner and outer hood from the mold, and we should have production parts, in stock, in a couple of weeks. Once we are up and running, these will retail for around $6500, but we are offering a limited number of hoods at the pre production price of $5000.

Yes, I know these are not cheap, and they are not for everyone. But, for someone looking to set themselves apart from the rest, this is the part.

I have my carbon guy working on a paintable version, that will have a significantly lower cost, for those of you who prefer the stock appearance. We are also looking at other carbon parts for the C4, C5, and C6,...more to follow.
