Default Renewing Engine Coolant

ZR-1 cooling system capacity is specified at 14.7 quarts.
However, I could only drain about 9 quarts out of my mine.
I would appreciate advice on the best way to go about draining the remaining coolant.
Thanks

Default Re: Renewing Engine Coolant

Phil, in Chicago I remember telling Marc Haibeck about the problem I had draining and refilling LT5 coolant; he said it was a pain for him as well. What he told me was he put a floor jack under one front jack point to drain. When refilling he would start the car wait for the thermostat to open and then also jack one side of the front to get rid of air. I'm pretty sure he placed the jack on the front passenger side but I don't remember for sure. What I am sure of is if you emailed him he would get back to you. He's great about answering questions promptly. Unfortunately he doesn't answer email until the wee hours of the morning.
