Hi there we refer to these as the TPMS or Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors. The good news are these are NOT ZR-1 specific but the ones you need are not the black box sensors ones with the band and weight you need the white/cream pyramidish style with the metal bands and weights. When you get these installed they are mounted 180 degrees from the valve stem. GLWYS

The TPMS only is tested during the Performance Verifaction.
It is not scored during flight judging to my knowledge. Said another way; One could earn a top flight award with no TPMS. The PV is a rerquirement for cars that have earned a top flight award and now are in pursuit of the more advanced awards, such as Mark of Excellence. Just want to makw sure you don'r search and spend if not needed. ![]() Marty |

thanks I just joined NCRS and did not know the importance of having a working TPMS system. I am surprised that someone has not engineered a work around but that might be a daunting task.

Well, Hello Again from 1993 40th #181
I wanted to make sure you didn't spend $$$ for those TPMS. They are pricey and prone to failure at their current age. Here is a link to the judging sheets for 180. Download and print and you can famiarize yourself with what is scored in each major section. These are crucial in preparing your car for Flight Judging. 181 's License Plate is NCRSZR1 Let me know if you have any questions. ![]() Marty https://www.ncrs.org/services/judging-score-sheets.php |

Marty,
I think your car might have been up for sale in 2016 when I was looking for mine. I recall communicating with you a while back. Thanks for the link to the judging sheets. I appreciate your suggestions. Dave Noble |

181 has been in our garage since 1996. I would order the judging manual for your car if you are going to go the flight judging route. It is a must have!!! You can find it in the NCRS store. ![]() Marty |
