I didn't have an issue with mine. Make sure the intake assembly is in the correct orientation. Hose should just slip on.

That's what's totally weird - the pump is bolted into position. Pump and hose match orientation in the pre-removal photo I took.

Hose does slip on - hose starts sliding off as clamp is tightened.

As Mystic said "patience" is not my virture.

1st try this morning and the hose stays on the air pump input when clamp tightened.

Go figure.

Next step is installing the Heibeck Throttle Body Heat Bypass tube.
