Tires mini-gloat
Well I just got new fronts delivered yesterday. The rears should arrive tomorrow or Friday. I purchased the Sumitomos from tire rack and so far everything's gone very smooth. I'm looking at getting them installed in the next week or two when work calms down a little. I know some folks aren't fans of these, but for a guy who just drives the car and doesn't race, I couldn't pass them up. The old tires was a nice set of Pilot series that had started to dry rot. I'm interested to see the difference with fresh soft rubber all the way around. Just wanted to share!!

I bought my car with a fairly new set already on them. (Sumi's).....I think thier noisy & I dont care much for them as far as cold weather traction and cornering. They almost feel too hard to me. I run 30psi in back & 32 in front. My Z06 has Toyo Proxes T1-S on it & those are a very good all around tire as far as I'm concerned.
I know the price of the Sumi's is great, but I want a little better quality between me & the road. JMO

Yea the new rubber will make you
 I remember when I got my 90 and it still had the OEM tires on the car! The original owner was like..."there's plenty of tred left on these tires...well the fronts anyway...the rears will need to be done soon, but the rubber is still in good shape for a 14+ yr old car!" They were hard as rocks, even thou they only had 7400 miles on them! New rubber was like a god send.....soooo much better in all aspects.  Enjoy the new found grip! Tom
