Are these Bosch 3s? If so, what does South Bay do to have them compatible w 90-92 Injector housings?

Short of ultrasonically cleaning and checking electrical resistance, what else can be done to "rebuild" injectors?

I bet they are still the stock fat body. when I bought mine I was the only one that asked for them specifically

Decaped they are physically the same as the originals. There are some old threads on how to do it with the accell injectors.

Replacing the consumable parts including the filter, then flowing them for spec and variance. If all this is good, it should be key on fun for a long time!

So sounds like NO They?re Not. When I had the FICs flow tested and reconfigured the pairing of them, it was necessary to modify a few of the injectors to make them compatible to fit in the secondary vs primary position. Basically same as Accel as far as grinding down a locking tab.

Correct, they are not Bosch 3. I don?t see why they couldn?t work though. I?ve ran both styles in my ls stuff with no issues. Decapped and the tab removed on the connector is all that?s modified for the secondaries.

I had used a set of the Southbay injectors years ago, I did a bench test on them and one of them new out of the box was bad...leaked after shut down. I understand the price point if you need to go that way but the FIC's from Jerry's are the way to go if you plan on keeping the car long term (forever in my case) plus Jerry has almost single handed kept LT5 parts available to us all. With customer service the way it is (almost every store/company etc hassle to get help and zero customer support) I gladly pay Jerry any extra over lower priced parts from bulk suppliers for his service (not that his parts are higher than others) but his service and support is money well spent. Same as with some other vendors here on the registry...could go on and on about their products and services, but dealing with registry folks is like buying local , it helps the entire community.

32 year old stock injectors are still in my car. Surprisingly, they still perform well. That said, I have a set of new FIC from Jerry that will be installed with a new stroker engine that's in the works.

Far as the Accel (150821) 21# injectors go, they have a little plastic indexing nub on them which if not first removed makes it so the they cannot be used in (I believe) the secondary holes. When I installed mine, it took only a few seconds with a Dremel to grind that plastic nub off so it the wire connection could be made.

I believe those Accels have been in there for 8 years now and have worked w/o any problems so far!

That said, if I were to replace them, I would go with the FICs thru Jerry's Gaskets. That way I would be sure they were flow matched and Jerry would match them up with the plenum gaskets, etc. needed for the installation.
