I believe that kind of adhesive clear plastic material is also sold at home improvement stores as a carpet protector, but usually in large rolls. Anyone who is a remodeling contractor would have some. BTW, I also put some to the right of the accelerator pedal when my foot tends to wear the carpet. Worked great, no wear.--Bob
