On my '95 I had a similar "popping" noise, especially when I backed out of my slightly inclined driveway. MArc Haibeck looked it over and said everything in the rear suspension looked OK, but replaced the rear sway bar bushings anyway. Solved the problem. They seem to always look OK even when they are not. --Bob
