95 ZR-1:
Would someone please explain the Quad-driver fault? It lists as on/off. Service manual does not go into detail other than to say quad-driver is on the ECM (for my 95 manual at least) and controls injectors. What do they do? What is fault "on"? Is it bad that they show fault "on" after running? How do you address it if it is a problem? What sets fault "on"/"off"? More to come, Ted |

change the ecm with a known good one. car runs really bad??? a fault just could be history of them firing bad which could be the injector wiring too I would guess. |

Ted, the quad drivers are what control the secondary injectors. in 90-92 they were a seperate module on the wiring harness. On the later cars, it was incorporated into the ecm.

Ron and Jeff, thanks. You've confirmed what I thought. Two cars--both set Module 1 and 3 fault 'on'. What is the impact and does/can it clear itself? Both computers bad? Any checks you have for a bad quad driver on the ECM board? Is it normal? What is module 5? Ted

Ted, let me run a scan on a 94 car tonight and look at the info and see what's up.
