Default adjustability on the ac compressor and or pulley

Going to pull the plenum hopefully for the last time next week, I think the ac compressor or pulley is slightly forward causing a minor belt chirp. Alternator is was replaced and correct Summit Pulley added. I did a search and found a thread saying there is adjustability in the a/c mounting bolts. There was also mention of measuring points from the compressor to a bolt but all the photobuckets pics were removed. How can I make sure the compressor is aligned and how can I check the if the pulley/clutch is seated properly? Thanks in advance, I won't do this project until probably next weekend so I have time to order anything I need.

I'm not aware of any adjustability for the ac compressor at the bolts. There are shims behind the compressor clutch. There are also shims behind the alternator pulley. The PS pulley is a friction fit on the shaft.

I wasnt ware of any adjustment for the a/c compressor mount either but I found some old threads here from years ago with several mentioning front and back movement that could be done on a/c install. I have the summit pulley from "solutions" on the alternator (that I am going to replace next week) so I thought my alignment was good. Here are some pics... It matches the spacing from Jerry's website.

I just did this repair a couple of weeks ago (I posted a few threads) due to a belt chirp and squeal. I replaced the pulley, bearing and clutch assembly with new pieces. While in there, I did not see any adjustment capability; there was a snap ring (PITA to remove, but easier to install) so I thought it binary as "it either fit or it didn't."

I did put a new high end (continental) belt on at the same time. My chirp is gone now so I don't know if it was the belt, the pulleys or alignment. Either way, I'm happy.

BTW.... I also had Marc Haibeck rebuild my tensioner. My car has 83k and it was due.

When you say pulley.. you mean a/c pulley? M. Haibeck rebuilt my tensioner last month.... I did not do anything to to my a/c compressor except remove it without discharging it when I did the top end. Only changes were new alternator with Summit pulley and R/I compressor with rebuilt of tensioner as mentioned. Thanks!

Yes, I left my compressor mounted on the engine and replace the AC pulley, bearing and new clutch.
