It may be tedious work but definitely worthwhile. When I had my C7 rear panel repaired after a parking lot scrape (clueless lady in a big white Land Rover), the body shop simply bought a new emblem because they couldn't (or wouldn't) go to the trouble you are going to. Of course, my emblems are readily available at about $60 and her insurance company was paying so I didn't care.--Bob

Meh! Just be grateful you caught her - or whatever. Had my new truck less than a week before some SOB backed into it, and bent the bumper...and TOOK OFF. I've no idea who it was. And, I have big deductible. Figured I'd wait till someone else bangs into me and stick them with the cost of a mew bumper.
