These turned out to be a bit more involved to reproduce than I initially expected. However, I now have the mold tooling and production process work out to the point where the reproduction pieces appear identical to the originals.
Ended up having to use a special polyurethane resin material made for thin casting work. When mounted on the car they look just like a factory license plate frame. In order to recoup the costs I’ve put in this project over a reasonable period for materials, making the mold tooling, and production I believe a $150 unit price is reasonable. Takes about 3 hours labor and 16 hours cure time to produce 1 plate frame. Please pm me if you're interested in one.
