Young1, yes, I do the same for the ZR-1. These are Hoosiers, mounted by the race shop which should be capable. I ended up taking the one wheel and tire to a local dearership with the Hunter RF balancer and they were able to balance it in 5 minutes but also suggested it shouldn't be used as it is.

I'll check with a local wheel repair shop, as suggested above, tomorrow and see if they think they can help. It still might make me feel better to just get a new wheel if someone has one not in use. I see them on the bay from time to time, but none right now.

It's decent for now; I took it to a wheel repair shop and they took some measurements and said it was so close to round that they didn't recommend messing with it. I had it balanced at a dealership with a Road Force Balance machine and they were able to balance it in 2 - 3 minutes.

So I put it back on my car and it tested good. No shimmy or shaking up to 120 mph. These are Hoosiers for the track and I'm not likely to go over that speed on the local tracks. I have two better sets of rims / tires for doing other events on, and they are perfect. So for my standing miles runs and the SORC event, I use a different set of tires that I know are good up past 170 :-)

It's possible the rim is within spec and the tire is too, but both on the ragged edge, making the pair a bad combo. If I see a RF rim on the bay in the future, I'll likely grab it.
