My 91 had both 02 sensors reading rich. I talked with Marc Haibeck and he said I could replace the sensors if it bothered me. But I didn't ask him what brand sensors and plugs he used. I figured I would ask you guys which brands you preferred and are running.

The ones I chose were Bosch. They work well & have not had any issues.

I use the AC Delcos. The Bosch O2s drop signal randomly. Don’t trust them. The ACs are solid.

Replacing the right side,I think it’s the right side,is a total nightmare,do plenty of research before you dig in.

Sounds good I think I will probably go with the AC's. What plugs are you guys running? So many to choose from.

Got them from Rock Auto. Don’t have part # but just go down thru the catalog for LT5. Easy to find.
Also, I just installed a set of Autolite 3924 plugs gapped at .044”. These are “projected nose” plugs. The motor runs much smoother than w the NGKs. |

Pete put me onto the (copper) AC Delco 41-602s. They're not exotic, but because of the ease of access on the LT5, there's no need to pay for plugs made of everlasting "rare earth" material. At about $2.00 or so a plug, you can afford to replace them long before they start to show signs of wear (rounded electrode edges, gaps increasing, i.e., the usual burning up indicators.
These plugs I pulled after one season (or was it two?). Practically new condition, and the motor (stock cams) idle purrs like a kitten. |
