New owner 1995 ZR-1
Hello everyone.
Just thought i should finally make a post of my new 1995 ZR-1. Its is black on black with 19000miles, and has both tops. I assume its number is 182 because that is the last 3 digits on the vin. From my digging and looking, the car also has a match set of dunn heads! https://photos.app.goo.gl/qubEC2gKVHr31TbV9 https://photos.app.goo.gl/r4H8feRuUM71srsH8 Picture of it beside my beloved Subaru Legacy Turbo/SS https://photos.app.goo.gl/X2jzbK2hDBjr3WMFA Whats all been done to the car from what i can tell. X brace Doug Rippie ECM/PCM chip When i got the car it needed a few things but nothing major. Speedo did not work and the back up lights do not work. I have not fixed the back up lights yet but the speedo now works after replacing the speedo drive with a new unit. Also some minor clear coat imperfections. Now what makes this car story interesting is that i believe i have Pete Pallotta/EVILTWINS old car! Now finding this post further helps me believe that i do own this car also? http://www.zr1.net/forum/showthread....ighlight=ralph When i was buying the car from the dealer in the USA/ New Hampshire the new sell told me that he just bought an estate sale of something like 14 or so Corvette's that have been sitting for some time. From some C2 427's a few C3 LT-1's a 96 Grand Sport another silver 91-96 C4 and my newly found 1995 ZR-1. Now when i got all the paper work for real when the car shipped to my house i could finally read who acutally owned my newly found 95 ZR-1. The title document stated P Ralph Pallotta on it, not to meantion ALL the other documents with his name all over it. I think that this link above would cement my findings. So from my findings i now own Pete's old 1995 ZR-1. And if Pete had a bunch of other Corvette's they are at this guys dealer now. The car is truly amazing and in near to mint condition. I plan to mainly maintain the car and keep it in excellent shape. I am a Master Subaru Technician by trade so i work on cars all day and should have no issue keeping this car well taken care of. I mainly made this post because im new and wish to show the car also the interesting story of a past members car. If anyone can tell me i am wrong or right let me know. Also any input for anything is welcome of course. Tom. |

Tom,
Car looks great. Black/black is a clean look. Headers, exhaust, & chip really wake it up. Ted |

Lol thanks everyone!
It is truly an amazing car. Still getting use to the tall gear ratio's So use to JDM tight ratio gear boxes. Im currently finding it hard to find good sections of roads with out police near by mainly because the car does "The speed limit" in 1st gear. Very fast car out of the box. I wonder if the chip has anything to so with that? |

You mentioned the tall gears. We have 4:10's in ours, and I got to test drive a stock one with 3:45's. What a difference! Our car is damn quick and feels much more like a race car going all out thru the gears to 7000+ rpm. The other car was more like "is it time to shift gears now" for me, it felt like very looong gears. Probably perfect for cross country driving on the freeways. For me, the 4:10 is the best upgrade in terms of bang for the buck - it feels like it has more HP due to the different power band, just like everybody told me before we bought it [emoji106] I'm now going to get a ZF Doc short throw shifter to make it feel even more like a race car. We just love our Z, best car ever my wife says [emoji6]20180722_134809.jpg Sent from my SM-G955F using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app
