Default Starting procedure/sequence ?

Trying to see what sequence ZR1 owners are using to start the engine both cold and hot . I rarely crack the throttle when starting my computer controlled vehicles except for one corvette I have , but thats due to a larger roller cam with a rough idle .

91 ZR1

COLD- get in , push in the clutch , turn key on , wait about 10 seconds , then turn it over . I do not give it any pedal at all.
HOT - same

Now I have been having Hot restart issues and I"m wondering if not giving it some pedal , is causing or part of the no hot start problem ?

I would like to hear other owners start procedures to see if what someone is doing will solve my problem !

Default Re: Starting procedure/sequence ?

I have a '91 as well.....all I do on a cold start is turn the key, I hear the fuel pumps do their thing. Then push in the clutch, take it out of gear, and crank it. It takes a few seconds then it fires right up. I never push the gas pedal on starts. On a hot start its the same thing, except it cranks right up. Do you have Marc Haibecks chip or has yours been re-flashed? I know once I got Marc's chip, it did take care of my hot starts.... But I have never had start issues, unless it was the battery. I hope you can track your issue down.
